Correct Installation Skills for Doctor Blades to Avoid Frequent Production Failures

Improper installation of paper machine doctor blades can easily lead to problems such as scratches, incomplete cleaning, and roller surface damage. Before installation, clean the blade holder and roller surface to remove residual impurities and ensure a tight fit. Adjust the blade angle: keep it at 30°–45° for the press section and 40°–50° for the dryer section to ensure even force on the blade edge. Pressure adjustment is critical: insufficient pressure results in poor cleaning, while excessive pressure accelerates wear and scratches the roller. The recommended pressure for pneumatic blades is 0.3–0.5 MPa. After installation, run a low-speed test, observe the fitting condition, and make timely fine adjustments to avoid paper breaks and defects caused by installation errors.
