HM-3A Doctor Blade

Cotton Fiber Doctor Blades

Main Components

  • Cotton Fiber Fabric
  • Phenolic Resin

Operating Temperature

  • Maximum: Up to 150°C

Key Features

  • Optimized Friction: Features a low friction coefficient, reducing heat generation and energy consumption.
  • Balanced Properties: Combines high mechanical strength with excellent toughness, allowing the blade to maintain its edge while remaining resilient.
  • Versatile Application: Specifically designed for use on rubber-covered rolls, copper-plated rolls, and chrome-plated rolls, providing effective cleaning without compromising the integrity of the roll coating.

Cotton fiber doctor blades are manufactured using natural cotton fiber as the base material, cured and composite-molded under high temperature and pressure. The resulting texture is soft yet exceptionally tough, providing maximum protection for roll surfaces, dryers, and anilox rollers while ensuring zero scratching.

These blades offer excellent high-temperature resistance and balanced water absorption, allowing them to uniformly remove pulp, moisture, and light stains with nearly silent operation. Featuring high dimensional stability and resistance to warping, they are optimized for low-to-medium speed conditions. They are particularly favored in printing, papermaking, and coating applications where equipment surface integrity is critical.

Compared to rigid blades, the cotton fiber variant focuses on gentle cleaning and light-duty metering. It prevents equipment damage, resists shedding, and offers a reliable service life, making it a practical accessory for precision roll maintenance and delicate cleaning processes.
