Tips for Using Creping Blades on Tissue Machines

In tissue paper production, the creping blade directly affects the softness and creping effect of the paper and must be precisely controlled.
The angle of the creping blade should be set between 34° and 40°; this range ensures uniform creping, reduces blade edge wear, and minimizes paper breakage.
Use special soft creping blades, which feature good flexibility to avoid scratching the dryer cylinder while creating fine, soft paper texture.
During production, fine-tune the pressure according to machine speed and pulp consistency: slightly increase pressure at higher speeds to maintain ideal creping.
Regularly sharpen the blade edge to keep it sharp and prevent uneven creping and linting.
Proper use of the creping blade can greatly improve tissue quality and enhance product competitiveness.
